Operation Backpack

Operation Backpack
Collection Ends Sunday, August 5

The Outreach Committee invites participation in St. Ann’s sixth annual drive to collect school supplies for homeless children in support of the Volunteers of America’s Operation Backpack. Homelessness makes it difficult to gather needed supplies and to prepare for the school year. We are collecting donations of new backpacks, supplies, or backpacks filled with supplies, which can be dropped off in the parish hall (157 Montague Street).

Lists of supplies by grade level are available in the church narthex and online. Choose as many items as you wish to contribute (an empty backpack, a three-ring binder, a spiral notebook), and we will put the backpacks together as a group. Even one package of #2 pencils or a box of crayons is appreciated! At the end of the drive, Volunteers of America sort the backpacks and distribute them to thousands of children before school begins. Please join us in this effort.
