If you have no idea what a Colorino might be, have ever wondered what it’s like to touch the art at the Metropolitan, or if you, like millions of Americans, don’t have 20/20 vision and worry about degrading sight as you age, you must experience Going Blind. It highlights the courageous journeys of seven people of different backgrounds and how their vision was lessened or fully taken away by disease, accident, war or degeneration. Each of the documentary subjects overcomes hurdles that are placed before them in truly uplifting ways, utilizing technology, support and love to create a world of beauty and personal accomplishment. Eric Shiner, Executive Director of Pioneer Works
The film and event provide important and timely opportunities to learn about discovering inner courage and overcoming adversity and will challenge our perception of otherness.
Don’t miss Going Blind and the opportunity to discuss its lessons for all of us!
