Forty members of the Royal Hospital School Chapel Choir from Suffolk, England, will lead Evensong at St. Ann & the Holy Trinity on Wednesday, October 17, at 6:00 pm. The normally 80-member choir sings weekly services in the cathedral-sized School Chapel. They also have led annual performances at naval services at St Paul’s Cathedral, London, and have appeared at the Royal Albert Hall for performances at the John Rutter Christmas Celebration concerts with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as at the Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance broadcast on BBC television and radio.
Tours abroad have included performances at Notre Dame in Paris, Salzburg Cathedral, Barcelona Cathedral, St. Mark’s in Venice, and St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome. In addition to this special performance at St. Ann’s on their coming U.S. tour, the choir will perform at the Cathedral of the Incarnation, Garden City, and in Manhattan at the Cathedral of St John the Divine, The Marble Collegiate Church, the House of the Redeemer, St. Malachy’s (The Actors’) Church, and on the flight deck of USS Intrepid. Please plan to attend this sure-to-be blessed and memorable service!
