CNIMA, the renowned French accordion school, presents a solo accordion concert by French virtuoso Nathalie Boucheix. After winning many prestigious international accordion competitions (Tropée Mondial and Klingenthal among them), Ms. Boucheix co-founded the Auvergne-based school CNIMA (Centre National et International de Musique et d'Accordéon) 25 years ago with renowned pedagogue Jacques Mornet, and is traveling with him in the US on a teaching tour. St. Ann’s will host a screening in the sanctuary of a new documentary about a significantly accomplished person hailed as the first Black woman to be ordained in the Episcopal Church. Overlooked by history, Pauli Murray was a legal trailblazer whose ideas influenced Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s fight for gender equality and Thurgood Marshall’s civil rights arguments.
