GRATEFUL: A Night of Thanks, Giving and Song

You’re invited to GRATEFUL: A Night of Thanks, Giving – and Song! Join us at St. Ann & the Holy Trinity Church on Friday, November 30, 7:00-9:00 pm for a truly celebratory occasion.

GRATEFUL is this year’s fabulous fundraiser for St. Ann’s featuring performances by acclaimed vocalists and Broadway singers Tracy Michaildis and Michael Winther, joined by stand-up comedian, Diana Yanez, who will get the party started! GRATEFUL is an after-dinner event to be held in St. Ann’s newly renovated parish hall. We’ll enjoy homemade desserts and raise a glass to our successes in ministry and service to our neighbors over the past year.

Among the many things for us to celebrate is St. Ann’s designation as pro-cathedral of the Episcopal Diocese of Long Island this fall. In this new era, we continue to set our sights high as we strive to be a beacon of light and hope in Brooklyn Heights and beyond.

Service to others remains at the heart of our mission. The people of St. Ann’s address food insecurity among Brooklynites by preparing thousands of sandwiches for a homeless drop-in center, maintaining a food pantry, and offering a monthly community meal called the “Welcome Table.” We collect winter coats for the needy, as well as school backpacks and Christmas toys for homeless children.

St. Ann’s is not only a spiritual home; it is a bona fide community resource. We treasure our relationships with numerous cultural and community partners, including the Brooklyn Book Festival, Brooklyn Folk Festival, String Orchestra of Brooklyn, The Moth, Books Are Magic, the New York Peace Institute, CAMBA, and the Brooklyn Heights Association. The Forum @ St. Ann’s continues to host book readings and panel discussions on important issues of the day and has exciting programs in the works for the coming year.

Of course, we continue to face the costly challenges of preserving our landmark church, which is on the National Register of Historic Places and a New York State and City historic landmark.

We need you more than ever to sustain our mission and maintain our many significant programs designed to feed body, mind and spirit. Please register at Brown Paper Tickets to attend GRATEFUL at any level. If you are unable to join us, your generous donation will be deeply appreciated. Finally, all are welcome to this event, regardless of ability to pay. You are invited to purchase a ticket for someone who cannot afford it.

Thank you for being part of the circle and for your enduring friendship. St. Ann’s is truly grateful for you!
