We are delighted to announce that on Sunday, September 8 we will launch the program year with an exciting new series, Instruments of PeaceInstruments of Peace is an original, arts-based, multi-general curriculum conceived by our clergy and funded with a grant for congregational development by Episcopal Ministries of Long Island. Designed for parishioners and neighbors of all ages, the program will celebrate the life and legacy of St. Francis and his concern for peace building. Please join us of any and all of the following:

Sunday, September 8
10:15-11:30 am—Introduction to the Story of St. Francis for Kids

Sundays, September 15, 22 and 29
10:15-11:30 am—Puppet and Song Writing Workshops for Kids

12:45-1:30 pm —“Fostering Peace, Then and Now”

  • 9/29 Paul Moses, Author, The Saint and the Sultan


Wednesdays, September 18, 25 and October 2
6:45-7:45 pm—Songwriting workshops in the peace tradition
9/25 at 8:00 pm—Dinner and Screening of The Sultan and the Saint

Sunday, October 6
9:30 am—Children’s St. Francis Day Service
10:30 am—Blessing of the Animals
11:15 am—Festive St. Francis Day Eucharist with guest preacher Ravi Ragbir, Executive Director, New Sanctuary Coalition
