Celebrating Canon John’s 30th Year as Priest

Thirty years ago on July 29, the Feast of Mary and Martha of Bethany, Canon John Denaro was ordained as a priest at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine of the Episcopal Diocese of New York. Parishioners who attended the Wednesday evening Holy Eucharist on July 27 honored Mary and Martha. Afterwards there was a celebration of  Canon John’s years of ministry and his service as rector of St. Ann’s, complete with a bubbly toast and a hope for thirty more years!
