The St. Ann’s parish family gathered on September 18 at a common Holy Eucharist service to celebrate Homecoming Sunday, the start of the church’s program year, on the Feast of St. Ann. Subsequent Sundays will see the return of two worship services, Family Church at 9:30 am followed by Sunday School, and the Rite II Holy Eucharist at 11:15 am. Members of the Sunday School offered the readings and led the Prayers of the People. Before blessing the students’ backpacks for school, Canon John spoke about desirable tangible and intangible things to carry, such as lunch and notebooks, but also forgiveness, hope and love.
