Members of St. Ann’s Sunday School met Little Amal the Syrian Refugee Puppet in Brooklyn Bridge Park at an event sponsored by St. Ann’s Warehouse on Saturday, September 24. Our families decorated paper pigeons to welcome Amal, who has journeyed thousands of miles across the Middle East and Europe to raise awareness of the plight of millions of uprooted people – particularly children – around the world. Some crossed the Brooklyn Bridge with Amal to support her effort to spread the message of hope and compassion for refugees in New York City! Click on image for slideshow.
