“Spirit of Stonewall: 50 Years On,” the Episcopal Diocese of Long Island’s commemoration celebrating LGBTQ pride and progress took place at St. Ann & the Holy Trinity and Pro-Cathedral on June 9, 2019. The event was not a religious service but a gathering of good will standing together with LGBTQ folk, committing to the cause of justice, full inclusion and dignity for all. The many guests who attended the commemoration were treated to moving speeches and powerful calls to action, along with several wonderful musical performances. The event was an occasion to serve an important role of welcoming in the wider community as pro-cathedral. Photos: Cresta Kruger, Coldcuts Productions Click on image for slideshow.
