St. Ann’s welcomed the Rt. Rev. Lawrence Provenzano, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Long Island, on the Third Sunday after Epiphany, January 22. The bishop celebrated, preached, and helped us extend the celebration of the 175th anniversary of the opening of the doors of our church. The service included the bishop’s confirmation of two members of Ascension Church in Greenpoint and his conferring of the Bishop’s Medal for Distinguished Parochial Service to three long-time, deeply committed parishioners of St. Ann’s. Musical guests affiliated with cultural partners of St. Ann’s performed during the service. We invite you to view the recording this special liturgy here, including the bishop’s insightful and inspiring sermon. Click on image for slideshow.
