Spring 2019 Sunday School Begins

The spring semester of Sunday School and the Playgroup begins Sunday, January 13, meeting from 10:15 am to 11:00 am, following the 9:30 am Early Church service.
At St. Ann’s Sunday School, K-6 children enjoy Bible stories and creative projects that are part of the journey toward faith. Mo. Kate Salisbury creates a lively curriculum that includes reading, praying, singing, and hand-on projects.
The 2019 spring semester is rich in the arts. Lessons will include exploring and charting a giant map, learning the art of puppetry, and working alongside parishioner and artist Ben Cowan as he creates a rainbow hued installation in the Sanctuary. Topics leap from the adventures of St. Paul to baptism and the love of God. In Lent, the focus will be on Noah and the Ark from a number of angles while creating puppets and masks for our Palm Sunday procession. Sunday School moves upstairs to the Community Room this semester so we can spread out and create. The Playgroup will now meet downstairs in the Parish Hall, where parents may also participate in series for adults. The Spring 2019 curriculum is available here.
