Sandwich Sundays

St. Ann’s Outreach Program
for the Homeless and Hungry

Sandwich Sundays is a successful three-year program that is part of St. Ann’s Hunger Outreach. This spring, we celebrated making the 10,000th sandwich, a tribute to the sustained efforts of our dedicated volunteers and contributors.

Everyone is invited to bring sandwiches for homeless and hungry adults who are guests of The Gathering Place in East Brooklyn, a program of CAMBA, a nonprofit multi-service agency.

Sandwiches in plastic bags should be delivered to the Parish Hall before the 11:15 am Holy Eucharist each Sunday. Please choose from these ingredients only: turkey, ham, roast beef; Swiss cheese, American cheese; white, whole wheat, multigrain bread or roll. Condiments are freshly provided at the center.

Contributions of funds are most welcome and make it possible to purchase additional sandwich ingredients. A collection box is available at the ushers’ post during the 11:15 service.

Join us in this continuing this valuable program, which offers food for the soul and a means to mission for our parish.
