Welcoming Internationally Acclaimed Bass Kevin Thompson on Sunday, May 24
Joining our quartet this Sunday is internationally acclaimed bass Kevin Thompson. Mr. Thompson possesses a voice of extraordinary range, depth, and color combined with a commanding stage presence. Described by San Francisco Classical Voice as “a mountain of a voice,” Mr. Thompson has performed leading roles in opera and concert halls across the U.S., Europe, and South America. Signature roles include Ramfis (Aida), Osmin (Die Entführung aus dem Serail), Sarastro (Die Zauberflöte), Mephistophélès (Faust), Sparafucile (Rigoletto), and Il Commendatore (Don Giovanni).
A native Washingtonian, Thompson is an alumnus of The Juilliard School, San Francisco Opera’s prestigious Merola Program, and the Santa Fe Opera Program.
