St. Ann’s took a first step to meet the needs of neighbors facing food insecurity by launching our Pop-Up Pantry this week. On our first day out, June 16, we provided a total of 12 bags of non-perishable groceries, which will support a total of 35 people. The Pop-Up Pantry operates on Tuesdays, 10:30 am to 12 Noon. Lauren Bakoian, St. Ann’s Events and Space Use Manager, organized and bagged food in the parish hall before providing provisions to visitors at the entrance to the church. Pantry bags contained grains (pasta, rice, quinoa), proteins (beans, canned tuna or chicken), canned fruits and veggies and extras like granola bars and nuts. We also had on hand jars of peanut butter to offer upon request. We request community assistance by making a donation of food through our Amazon wish list or contributing to St. Ann’s Outreach Fund here. Thank you!
